NHS Supply Chain appoints Jaywing

Published: Jul 2008

NHS Supply Chain has appointed Jaywing to help refine its sales and marketing communications.

This will involve segmenting detailed transactional data collected by NHSSC about the purchasing behaviour of specific departments in individual hospitals.

Insights into departmental buying power will then be used to drive specific, incentivised marketing and communications strategies aimed at tailoring their purchasing.

"Being able to target our customer communications is an important part of streamlining our marketing strategy, while increasing sales efficiency. The ability to create tailored communications for specific NHS departments means we can focus our efforts on marketing interactions that generate positive results," says Mark Aubin, head of marketing at NHSSC.

The chain manages the procurement and delivery of more than 500,000 products for NHS trusts, hospitals and a large variety of other healthcare organisations.

It is run under a 10-year contract by DHL Logistics on behalf of the NHS Business Services Authority, to provide end-to-end procurement, logistics, e-commerce and customer/supplier support.
